Fried Chicken Sound System
After a heavy night on the quarter packs Dog and Monkey had a vision to begin a night free from any kind of musical genre restrictions and focusing on the important things like heavy drinking and extreme buck wildness. The Fried Chicken Sound System was born and launched at Watkins Bar in Feb 2003 with Kava and DDog alongside local legend Mikki D. The days at Watkins were short lived and Fried Chicken moved on to a successful stint at Curve Bar. On their way there they came across a young DJ in an alley way playing for cheeseburgers and vodka, they offered him a drumstick and told him to come spin some tunes. It wasn't long until Marek was a regular fixture alongside Kava and DDog at the Fried Chicken nights. Next stop was some regular Sandwiches action. The most notorious of which was the filthy Jack Daniels drinking session alongside UK legends Rodney P and Skitz in 2004. These days Fried Chicken has settled into the comfortable surrounds of Good Luck with a regular night taking place every couple of months. Expect all styles thrown into the mix, dancehall, crunk, hip hop, bootlegs, house, baltimore, jungle, dnb, rock, electro, whatever!! anything as long as it's greasy!
