Orewa Based. Between working and surfing in New Zealand, I have worked hard to upgrade my production skills, with an emphasis on being able to innovate original beats and sounds, while keeping the importance of tracks that are simply good to listen and dance to.

I started producing music in 1989 with a single Roland SH - 101 (70s synthesizer) which I programmed to make every sound in a track - kick drum, high hats, bass, lead - the whole lot. I liked the crazy sound of synths and the way you could get such awesome sounds out of them, from Jarre and Vangelis through to dance music. On the flipside at the time I also liked hip hop, metal and even some pop. Today I like all good music whatever kind or genre.

I sold around 10 000 records and cds in 90s under the name Mindfood and a couple of other names. I did this through Kickin Records , London, Sony Dance Pool, Germany and a few other minor labels. All the tracks were programmed electronic dance as opposed to using samples - much the same as I produce today - only the great tools we now have enable more creativity than ever in making up awesome sounds. It is important that dance music keeps evolving to keep it interesting to me, particularly the programming side of the music which is advancing so fast right now.
