Originally from Russia, Zhenya Topov honed his skills in NY playing at the legendary Limelight. Always looking for that middle line between the play and the technique his style encompasses smooth long blends when playing house and tech-house, as well as quick tweaks, live dubs and sharp frequency isolations when in the world of techno. As well as being a skillful DJ & producer, Zhenya creates original sound design for dance, theatre and film. Having recently composed a score for Wellington’s Footnote Dance Company, he is currently working with Southern Lights Dance(ChCh) as part of The Body Festival and making music for the upcoming Monster Burlesque.
