Allister Whitehead
Allister is undoubtedly one of the most talented DJ's you're ever likely to come across. Given that he's been at the top of the Premier League for the last 10 years, his lasting appeal is undeniable.
His DJ'ing career started way back in 1987, where he played all over his hometown of Nottingham. He eventually took up a residency at Nottingham's Coolcat, where he could often be seen playing next to the ubiquitous Graeme Park on Saturday nights. It was during this period that his reputation began to spread.
Allister has achieved 4 Gold Albums in the last 4 years (3 for Fantazia and 1 for Ministry of Sound). He has had commercial success (as Whitehouse) with 'Ain't no Mountain High Enough' and 'The Theme' (featuring the KLF's old school rapper Riccardo Da Force on the Mic). Allister has remixed tracks for, amongst others, Robbie Williams - 'Millennium' (UK No. 1), Natalie Imbruglia - 'Smoke' (UK no. 5), Sharon D Clarke, Jean Phillipe Aviance and had a No. 1 Club Chart Mix for Martha Walsh.
His weekly radio show across the Galaxy Network (Sat. 6-8pm) is now achieving the highest listener figures on Galaxy. He is, of course, still DJ'ing all over the UK/World. The residencies he has confirmed are; Bed in Sheffield (Gatecrashers funky house club) monthly, Miss Moneypenny's in Birmingham and Leicester (bi-monthly), Deja Vu in Hull (bi-monthly), Sugarcandy @ The End, London (bi-monthly, The Honeyclub, Brighton (bi-monthly) and Club Earth (Charlie Chester's new club) bi-monthly.
Allister has recently flown out to Sweden, where he has co-produced KWA's Hopscotch with legendary House producer Stonebridge. The track has been signed to Edel, and with only a few Test Pressings sent out, it's already causing a stir Worldwide. Just recently completing the building of his own Studio, we can expect some massive Dance-floor Hits shortly.
