Around The House:
Around the House is a Wellington based party, run by Flipside Records, arguably Wellington's most sucessful House Party night of 2002

The Wellington Team:
Bubbles is a resident at Vurtigo, Mercury Lounge and StudioNine. Playing in and around Wellington for the past 3 years, he loves Tequila
and playing records too.

John Saunders has played support for (and often outshone) many internationals during his time in Wellington.

Currently residing at Jet Lounge, Curve Bar & Vurtigo An absolute master of the humble turntable, we have been winding him up for a crowd-pleasing, dancefloor-action, yell-at-the-DJ type set. Nice.

Leo Q is a Vespa Lounge resident, plays at Paradiso on a regular basis and has been playing in and around Wellington for many years. One of Wellington's original Old School he will be shakin your booty fer sure. Just what we want.

The Nelson Team:
Hoags & GENEtiK are good friends and often play together in and around the Nelson district. Often destroying dancefloors, we welcome them to Around The House.

About Hoags:
Karl Hogarth (Hoags) is a skipper by day (or should i say 6-8 weeks on & a few weeks off) and DJ's after hours when in port. He has been playing in and around Nelson for the past 3 years, and has played The Gathering, Phat club, Stardust, and numerous other parties.

Playing house and progressive, he always aims to take the floor on a journey to anywhere, whilst at the same time keeping it funky, stylish and trippy.

He likes to inject a nostalgic feel into the mix and reckons that his tune selection is better suited to an older, mature crowd. Hoags will be rocking the Ninebar from 12-4am...

About GENEtiK:
Gene is a hairdresser by day and DJ by night. He currently holds a residency at the Phat Club, Nelson's hottest new dance venue.

Previously the Art Director at the Gathering for 3 years running, he has a constantly evolving sound and has been involved in the dance music community for many years.

He assures us that the set he has for us will be by far superior in every way to anything you have heard him play before.

Promising to be big, bad and funky as fuck, somewhat electro, just a few new school funking breaks, definately techie as but not too hard.

Just quality tunes all the way and hey, then theres his new toy (mixer) oooo lala !!

Production:

Production will be to our usual high standard, Wendy from Blink will be conducting her environmental defragmentation in an effort to
twist your visual senses right around & back again.

Stunn productions have a few new toys and we've got them for the night for your visual pleasure.

SubNine has been treated to a new PA system and we welcome you lot as the first to hear a BIG House party through it

For the night we will be using a Vestax PMC-37PRO mixer and it has the unique capability of being able to 'layer' channels over each other, creating extra bassy-bass lines, seperating the frequencies over a couple of channels, or using the analogue filter to great effect.
