A bit about Philippa:
Philippa began buying House records in the first days of 1997 after hearing Wellington Djs Andee (one of Flipside's co-founders) and Schmoo (Bradley Shanks - OG DJ of Diskotek fame) play the back room at the Hardfloor gig new year 96/97.

She then moved up to Auckland towards the end of 1997 and started to work for Bpm Records - arguably NZ's best and longest standing dance vinyl store.

Philippa is still kinda involved but don't work there full-time any more as she is currently at Audio Engineering school - the Tai Poutini Polytechnic course put together by MAINZ.....

In 1998, she was voted in by Re:mix magazine readers as Auckland's best up and coming DJ.

At the start of 2000, Philippa was asked to mix a CD for Re:mix magazine - the end result was a Deep House compilation that went down extremely well around the country - which much to her surprise has become Re:mix magazine's most in demand CD ever!

Philippa was a resident in notorious Auckland House club Calibre in it's best years and in 2000 won a place in the RedBull Dj Music Academy.

The prize was being flown to Dublin for a 2 week seminar with some of the music industries greatest influences.

Upon arriving back in NZ she was voted in as NZ's 'Best Up and Coming DJ' at the B-Net music awards.

In 2001 Philippa began hosting the Friday afternoon Drive show on George Fm - Auckland's very cool dance music radio station...

This year she is working on a mix cd for new local record distribution company 'In Music' - it's going to be commercially released - have national distribution and promotion etc. Keep your eyes open for this one - due for release around late August.

In the mean-time, aside from school, she has a full dj'ing schedule around Auckland every weekend - and is still a long time resident at Calibre - the home of Auckland house Djs. She also plays at other clubs like Ink, The Wyndham Bowling Club, Cardiac etc as well as all the big Auckland parties...
