Continuing the tradition of bringing New Zealand headz the finest in UK Drum and Bass, Cyanide Recordings and Grind are proud to present the New Zealand debut of one of the UK's top DJ - Producers, Matrix.

Matrix aka Jamie Quinn has been producing drum and bass since the early 90's. As a producer he has developed his own trademark sound. It is minimal, deep, driving and dynamic as much suited to the club as it is to home listening. Matrix has released cuts on Virus, Prototype, New Identity and his own Metro imprint. One of the high points of his career thus far was the release of his excellent debut album 'Sleepwalk' on Virus. Most recently he has been working as studio engineer for Goldie, adding his magic to the Metalheadz main mans releases. 2001 marks the launch of Matrix's new imprint Idioma focusing on the deeper side of the genre, where the manifesto is definitely all about the grooves. With forthcoming releases from Matrix, Cause4Concern, Total Science and Klute it is already set for big things.

And if producing some of the finest drum and bass available was not enough, Matrix also holds down a very hectic DJing schedule. He is a regular visitor to the US and throughout Europe as well as regular gigs in London. Combining his latest productions with dubplates from the scenes premier producers, Matrix will take you on a journey deep into drum and bass.
