BASS FRONTIERS PRESENTS
KLUTE (COMMERCIAL SUICIDE / UK)
SAT 17 MAY – SANDWICHES
A rebel with a cause, Klute is truly unique artist and continues to be a creative force in drum and bass after well over a decade in the scene. In April 2007 he released his fifth full-length artist LP on his own Commercial Suicide label and embarked on another trail-blazing global tour, taking in dates from Bristol to Nelson to Beijing. ’The Emperor’s New Clothes’ is surely his best album yet and shows that, despite his long-standing in the scene, Klute still has something fresh to offer. New Zealand holds a very special place in Klutes heart and the respect is mutual with every tour embarked in New Zealand hugely successful and every night standing tall amongst the multitude of foreign Drum n Bass DJ tours our country is lucky enough to enjoy. 2008 sees Klute slowing his production output down to satisfy the overwhelming requests for more DJ dates. Behind the turntables Klute is in a league of his own, always bringing a fresh and varied selection with the same high energy levels as his productions are known for. Never one to be pigeonholed, Klute’s sets cross styles as well as challenge boundaries and always please the dancefloor.
