Satta! Rejoice, Rejoice! By popular demand, The Blood and Fire SoundSystem is dropping a special one-off mash up before leaving Aotearoa.
The roots reggae dancehall session will be at Indigo in Wellington on Thursday 10 Feb, with the B&F crew aiming to play till dawn when they gotta catch an international flight.
Following performances for the SoundSplash festival and Radio Active 89FM One Love, the B&F crew is hanging out in the Capital and they are hungry for one last opportunity to showcase their rocking and swinging skills and phenomenal vinyl collection.
Delivering the authentic Jamaican dancehall vibe will be A&R director Steve Barrow, selecting classic heavyweight records and dub plates; DJ Dom Sotigu, on the decks and special effects; and champion Jamaican MC Ranking Joe rapping his unstoppable stream of verbal commentary, whoops, yelps and screams, not to mention 'bong-diddley's' by the score.
