The Secret Desires of Sam Scott

Sam Scott from the Phoenix Foundation is the magician behind the band with the bunny name, Bunnies on Ponies a new addition to the Wellington musical carousel.

The beat bunny line includes Mike Fab from Black Seeds on drums, Warner Emery from Phoenix Foundation on bass and producer and Black Seeds member Lee Prebble joins Dave Long from the Muttonbirds to create 'doomsday Hawaiian sounds' on lap steel.

Revelling in the opportunity to let loose with some of his secret folk desires, he describes the Bunnies as a "hotch potch kind of folk band that combine gentle folk songs with slightly aggressive improvised arrangements"

The show is part of the Month of Fruit at the Matterhorn, a potent bake of cultural nourishment and poison through October.
