CALIBRE Signature / Soul:R UK
Dominick Martin aka Calibre has been responsible for some of the most beautiful tracks in drum and bass to date and continues to drop jaws worldwide with his sublime and sultry productions. From his first full length LP on Creative Source to the more recent album ‘Second Sun’ on his own label Signature, Calibre’s sound has progressed taking in elements of jazz, funk, dub and techno but lost none of it’s soul. With the release of the debut Mist:ical LP ‘Eleventh Hour’ (alongside Marcus Intalex and ST Files), the retrospective compilation ‘Shelflife’ and yet another artist album scheduled for the coming months, 2007 has to be one of his busiest and best years yet. Having played all over the world, Calibre definitely knows how to captivate a crowd. His sets feature the deeper side of drum and bass, but never disappoint the dancefloor. This will be Calibres third visit to New Zealand, the two previous tours being nights that people treasure above most others in their memories. Here is your chance to create another sublime addition to your own memory bank with the music of Calibre and his MC of choice.....

MC DRS Soul:ution / Brok'n English UK
MC DRS has been a force in the drum'n'bass scene for 15 years. Having experienced the early hardcore scene alongside Marcus Intalex, DRS joined the world-reknowned Good Looking camp later, to be showcased as one of the primary MC's for LTJ Bukem, Blame, Nookie and crew. Not only did he tour the world, but he was also featured on the 'Logical Progression' CDs which sold shedloads globally. Fast forward to 2007 and DRS is now the MC for the Soul:r and Signature camp, touring all over with Marcus Intalex and Calibre. Not only that, but he is carving a name for himself in the hip-hop world that is both solid and credible, with his Broke’n’English project. Fusing his long history as a D’n’B MC with his hip-hop cred, he adds an edgy flavour to the scene and an honesty that is unmatchable. This will be the first New Zeland visit for one of the true veteran MC's and one of the only vocalists in Drum N Bass with the courage to say something honest and different. I love drum’n’bass and that’s a fact, I love spitting over riddims when it drops, watching the crowd react. I’ve been away but best believe I’m back. Rise from the ashes like a phoenix, Broke’n’English massacre your tracks.
