Only in the Dubstep scene a short time, 21 year old Datsik (Troy B.) has wasted no time by making his presence be known internationally, introducing his own unique style of industrial sounding futuristic beats and heavy dance floor stomping rhythms. His latest successes on the Beatports “Top Download” charts are a testament that his music is being recognized by listeners all over the world, with multiple releases hitting number 1 on Beatport and Chemical-Records for extended periods of time. It is very well possible that he has been the first dubstep artist to ever hold 5 out of the top 10 best selling tunes at once on Beatport. He has also earned the attention of some of the most notable and influential acts in the scene to date such as Bassnectar, Skream, Rusko, & DJ Craze, to name a few. With the Rottun Recordings label behind him, he has been hard at work, working on many tunes, collaborations, and remixes for some of the biggest names in the world. In a genre with increasing popularity, he continues to devote his time and energy into pioneering a distinct sound that will transform it to the next level, and set him above the rest. Organikismnness has toured along side Pendulum (live), Black sun empire, Teebee,Goldie, Evol Intent, Spor and the Stanton Warious, shared PHATs infamious main stage along side acts such as Diesil Boy, Andy C, Noisia, Phace and Misanthrop, DBridge, BCUK, Pendulum, Aphrodite, Benga and scream to name a few all of these sets consisting of 100% Organikismness material. Organikismness has also released 2 albums and a heap of other tracks on Organikismness , Optimus gryme , Empathy and Bassweight recordings, has releases forthcoming on Protogen recording (Germany), Trust in music (Germany) and Betamorph recordings (USA) as well as a host of others in the pipeline on labels both in New Zealand and over sea's and with 2010 fast approaching so does the completion of Harrys highly antisipated first solo album.

As their name suggests, Double_Negative are a positive force within the growing New Zealand breaks scene. The lads, John Henderson and Nick Gardner met at an audio engineering course in 2002 and have been making waves in the breaks scene ever since. They began with drum n bass tunes and eventually progressed to producing solid, original breaks tunes which have formed a unique sound, some dark and techy, others atmospheric but altogether their own. John and Nick have promoted their music while giving other new producers valuable opportunities to have their tracks heard through their break beat collective label, Empathy ( http://www.empathy.co.nz) which was formed in 2002 with C Form and Shannon Mckenna. Empathy has released three cds so far: Plug_in Drummer, Is This Code and most recently Rumble in the Jungle featuring Mr Smith. These feature well known artists such as Agent Alvin, The Upbeats, Trei and the cream of Double_Negative's own tracks including Bak to Tek (feat MC Kyla) and Reflex. Double_Negative has been djing at various venues over the last year and also feature on the Electric Caboose show on Radio Active 89fm. They have DJ’d alongside major players: Freq Nasty, Rouge Element, Breakfastaz, Plump Djs, Stanton Warriors, Krafty Cuts, NAPT & Atomic Hooligan. Double_Negative have also had their own tunes released on UK label: Mechanoise and US label Trans:verse and NZs own Empathy Recordings. They have also worked on remixes and collaborations with The Upbeats (NZ), Neztic (Mexico) and White Papoo (France). Having developed a techy and bass driven production sound, Double_Negative are committed and devoted producers always on the search for the best breaks and phattest bass lines than ever.

Scott Detail has been loitering around the new zealand jungle/ dub scene for years, playing at numerous events around the country including the phat NY festivals, phat moon parties + The Tryst & Gibzone events. In 2007 scott released his first dubstep tune on bassweight recordings - Foundation EP New Zealands very first dubstep release, over the years scott has been involved in many crews around the country including 0474:8455, Dubstep Alliance, Bassweight Recordings, The Roast Crew, and has played support for the likes of Flying Lotus, Kryptic Minds, Cotti & Jungle legend Remarc. Scott has also had a couple of releases under his "EXTRAVAGANGSTA" Monkier - in 2009 Scott collaborated with coco solid and released - graffiti girls 4 life, on cd and limited edition pink vinyl! Scotts tunes are also a favourite of auckland badman "Stinky jim" with his tunes featuring regularly on BFM's longest running bass music show - stinky grooves. Look out for Detail in 2010 with a forthcoming EP on Bassweight, and a busy year ahead having just moved back to wellington'to concentrate on his music

In '96 jungle jemmied the lock and stole Thief's heart. From there his musical reconnoitres led him down the darkened alleys of drum and bass, hip hop, and dub. Deep soul-shaking bass was the commonality. In 2006 dubstep slipped the catch and padded across the floorboards of his mind, ransacking emotions and taking everything with it. Thief linked up with like-minded musical trailbastons P Vans, Steppa D and Kaps, joining the STRICTLY 138 CREW, in '07, while playing dubstep at parties with the Acetate crew. As part of the 138 collective, Thief has played support for and been involved in promoting the likes of Scuba, Loefah, N-type, Chef, Plastician, The Bug and Warrior Queen, Zed Bias and RSD. With a sound typified by forward thinking future dub music, and a philosophy of playing anything as long as it's good, vibe over production, Thief prides himself on finding his own way, eschewing dancefloor trends and staying true to his musical voice. Dubwise flavours, sustained subbage, swing, junglist breaks, melody, unusual sonics and analogue grit comprise the robber-dub sound. Upfront tunes sit alongside deeper productions and local produce alongside fresh international beats in his DJ sets. 2009 sees Thief focusing on getting his production up to scratch - expect to hear some originals stealing their way into sets in the near future.
