Destination is New Zealand's premiere, mid-season, outdoor festival.

DESTINATION: 28 FEBRUARY - 2 MARCH 2003

Taking place on the first weekend of March annually, Destination has operated under various guises since 1996. Experiencing steady growth in this time it is now one of New Zealand's largest and most-established dance events.

Located at Cave Stream in the Southern Alps, Destination combines picturesque beauty with stunning natural acoustics to create a unique and intimate atmosphere.

Catering to upwards of 2500 people in 2003, Destination brings together New Zealand's finest live, electronic and dj acts for a two night entertainment showcase that includes Fat Freddy's Drop, Pacific Heights, Concord Dawn, Trinity Roots, Rhombus, Confucius & Mysterious D, Dubwise, Zuvuya, Cornerstone Roots, Tiny People and the Sunshine Sound System.

Furthermore, Destination will be hosting a number of international acts, including Infusion (Australia), Brasilbeat Sound System (Brazil/US), Ganga Giri (Aus), Luke Chable (Aus)and Pocket (Aus).

This year Destination will highlight its festival nature by hosting a live concert during the day on 1 March, with acts ranging from Folk, to Hip Hop and Opera to Dub.

Separate tickets will be made available at a reduced price for those wishing only to attend the Saturday concert which will feature the likes of Deborah Wai Kapohe, Richard Nunns, John Grennell, Otautahi Allstars, Solaa and Verse Two. Details of this will be made available closer to the time.
