BASS FRONTIERS PRESENTS DJ BAILEY (Metalheadz and Swerve Resident) and MC TALI (Full Cycle)

DJ BAILEY
No other UK Drum and Bass DJ has left an impression on the Capital quite like DJ Bailey. Since his debut appearance at Subnine during July last year a tight bond has formed between the original ruffneck don and the Wellington massive. In what would have to rate as one of the top international sets of 2001, Bailey shook Subnine to its very foundations with his trademark tough yet melodic style. It was from this appearance that plans to incorporate him into THE NEW FRONTIER 02 alongside Digital and Marcus Intalex were hatched. And so it was, Bailey returned to Wellington less than 6 months after his initial appearance to headline New Zealand's premiere New Years Eve Drum and Bass event. Once again Bailey's sublime skills not only on the decks but this time also on the mic took the night to another level. His extended stay in Wellington over this period meant the opportunity arose for a special VIP Saturday night session at Velvet alongside Digital a few days after New Years. A session that will remain firmly entrenched in Welly DnB legend.

For those who have not yet had the opportunity to experience DJ Bailey in action, ask anyone who has and they will tell you he is absolutely un-missable. People say Bailey is the only successful Drum n' Bass DJ in the world who has never produced. This reality just goes to show he lacks absolutely nothing in the way of skills when he is behind the decks. He has the capacity to create a sound through sheer mixology to make an impression and stand out from the crowd of Drum n' Bass DJ's out there. His skills have won him what every DJ in the world wants- recognition and most importantly respect

MC TALI
Originally from New Zealand - Tali is a classically trained singer and pianist - but her first passion is song writing and composing - Tali has been writing and recording her own music since she was 10. Growing up listening to Hip Hop, R'n'B, Soul and Rock. Tali discovered her passion for Drum'n'Bass in '96 after hearing Maintain by fellow Full Cycle member Krust. From here Tali teamed up with The Scientific crew, a Drum'n'Bass promotions company and the only Drum'n'Bass radio show in the south of New Zealand.
At the beginning of 2001, Tali moved to Melbourne, Australia and continued Mc'ing for various promotion companies along side artists like LTJ Bukem, Grooverider, Bryan Gee, Ed Rush and Optical. Tali fast established herself as Australia's only female MC, touring to Singapore and sealing various dates in New Zealand and Australia. It was while in Australia Tali met Roni Size at the Reprazent concert. Tali took this chance opportunity to sing in his ear, and impressed him so much, he took Dynamite off the mic and let Tali take over and show off her skills to a strong Melbourne crowd along side DJ Die.
Tali already had her sights set on establishing herself in the UK and in June 2001 this dream became a reality through new Full Cycle connections - MC'ing first at Fabric in London for Krust and Die, then being invited to work with the collective in Bristol.
Now in 2002 Tali is currently in the process of making several tunes with all the Full Cycle crew - Roni, Krust, Suv, Die, Surge and D Product, to go towards her album and various other Full Cycle projects. Aside from song writing, Tali is touring the globe, MC'ing for various Drum'n'Bass artists.
Tali best describes herself as a vocalist, as her unique style of MC'ing incorporates not only rhyming but soulful melodies as well.
