DJ Craze and Roc Raida in Wellington - need we say more

Don't Sleep Wellington The Crème de la Crème of Turntabilism DJ Craze and Grandmaster Roc Raida will be appearing for a one of show at Indigo bar & Venue on Sunday March 14th.
Helping them Rock the spot will be one of USA's hottest DnB MC's; MC Armanni Reign and the newest member to join the x-Ecutioners DJ Boogie Blind.

Please Note: Being a Sunday night the event will begin earlier than the norm in Welly so those that have to work on Monday can still enjoy this incredible line up.

DJ CRAZE (Performing at Midnight)

After accomplishing the unbelievable of winning 3 DMC World Championships in a row and numerous other World Titles, DJ Craze has gained a reputation for rocking every party he plays at the world over. When Craze is behind a set of 1200s and a mixer, he's on stage: sometimes he's shy, sometimes he's cocky, but never short of absolutely magnificent. If you have never been to a DJ Craze show, then you are truly missing out on something.

DJ Craze uniquely has a claim at being both the best technical and best party DJ in the world, if not of all time. His un-matched combination of hiphop, breaks, drum and bass and turntablism trickery is untouchable.

DJ ROC RAIDA (Performing at 10pm)

If you've ever seen the X-Ecutioners perform live, you know that DJ Roc Raida calls himself the "ninja of rap." A rather apt description, except that he's not a silent turntable killer by any stretch of the imagination. His warp speed hand skills on the crossfader are the stuff of legend; Raida goes straight for the jugular with razor-sharp vinyl disks. Even with legions of DJs now touting themselves as "turntablists," Raida is still among the best on the ones and twos.

He's also the only original member of the former X-Men to remain since they changed their name to the X-Ecutioners after DC Comics made a big stink. As a member of the X-Men, Roc Raida helped revolutionize the realm of turntablism, and was inducted into the DMC Hall Of Fame in 1999. We are proudly to bring to NZ, Roc Raida for the first time since 1997.

MC ARMANNI REIGN

Armanni Reign from Philladelphia is one of the USA's biggest dnb MCs. He has recently been touring the States as the official MC on Goldie's Metalheadz USA tour. Now he's touring the world with DJ Craze.

Support for this gig is Wellingtons own legend on the 1's & 2's DJ Raw (Footsouljahs) DJ Raw was born and raised in the New Zealand capital of Wellington. He began "messing with a 3 in 1 stereo" in 1987. By '89 he had his first 1200's and immediately began entering DJ battles and by 1991 was the reigning New Zealand DMC champ. Consequently he has won numerous DJ battles including 1993 Ruff House battle, both the 1997 New Zealand ITF and the 1997 Australian ITF battles, plus the 2000 New Zealand DMC (that September he placed seventh at the DMC World Finals in London). Over the years he has released eight mix tapes including "Butta Mix Vol 5" and "Fat Blendz Vol 2." His credits include production & scratching on the King Kapisi album "Savage Thoughts" and production on the Footsouljahs EP "Stylz, Deliveriez, Flowz." He is currently finishing up his solo album, "1200 Stylez and MC Flowz." Rounding off the evening is Wellys freshest DnB Crew the Inna Skilla Dragoons consisting of DJ Hooks (Face Cutters) and MC D-Visor. (D-Man From GND)
