DISTANCE has clearly marked his own territory within the dubstep scene. In early 2006, fresh from his appearance on the now legendary Mary Anne Hobbs Dubstep Wars radio broadcast, DISTANCE released 'My Demons' his debut full length album on Planet Mu. An album that went beyond expectations. Firmly cementing Distance as not only one of dubstep's finest, but an electronic artist of immense diversity incorporating metallic shards, rave signals, guitar riffs and beats so heavy people avoided the scales for weeks.

Following on DISTANCE has brought a sonic brew of apocalyptic sub heavy stylings across numerous heavyweight 12" releases on the likes of Hotflush, Tectonic and Ringo and in late 2007 launched his own label CHESTPLATE. Chestplate 001 saw DISTANCE teaming up with Skream and hitting hard with two slices of raw future funk with the second installment featuring DISTANCE solo and taking his singular production style to new levels with his blueprint for truly smashing up the dance now in full effect.
