Greg Churchill has been DJing for over 15 years. His performances, bringing together techno and house, are of the highest calibre. During his career as a producer, Greg has produced four mix CD's as well as providing stunning remixes of singles by Clearlight, Jan Hellriegel, Subware, The Headless Chickens and Troughman (on UK's Shaboom Records). Greg's career escalated in 1996 when he moved to Auckland and took up residency at High St's number one basement, The Box, where he stayed until 2000. Since then he has toured New Zealand, playing at almost every major venue and was also invited to perform the entire Australasian tour of the Big Day Out, performing along side international DJs including Darren Emerson, Roni Size and Carl Cox. Greg is the nice guy of the Auckland DJ scene and was voted Re:mix DJ of the year in 1999 and b.net Best New Zealand DJ in both 1998 and 2001. Greg has a large following who turn out every weekend to hear his sets, wherever he is playing. When Greg's at the decks, you can be sure he'll get it right.Pilots Greg Churchill and Luke da Spook will be flying with the assistance of virtually unseen equipment from Numark Pioneer (including CDJ1000's and a DJM3000). The flight path logged is one never traveled before - you'll be exposed to a new direction in Djing that will challenge your limits and set new levels in technical ability. Board this flight - we guarantee that Greg Churchill and Luke da Spook will get your ass off the tarmac!!!
Luke Thompson aka Luke da Spook is the man behind Spooky Productions and the Vinyl Junkies. Luke has been DJing for over a decade and it would be a struggle to find many people who are unaware of his contribution to New Zealand dance music. Luke began touring international DJ's in the early 90's. His tour destinations included Queenstown, Christchurch and Wellington, places virtually untouched by DJ's of international standard. As well as trying to live the life of a rock star on the road, Luke was also resident at Calibre from 1997 to 1999. He then went on to set up Vinyl Junkies as a bid to promote local New Zealand DJ's. No stranger to the international scene, he's toured Australia with Renaissance and has played with the likes of Sasha, Oakenfold and Kevin Saunderson. Luke plays an eclectic sound of deep progressive sounds with tribal, deep and soulful influences.
DJ Angel,
aka Angela Fisken is a relatively new comer to Djing but has been quick to climb our nations dance music ladder. Angel tours up and down the country regularly and also played in Sydney earlier this year. Angel can be found bringing you the very best of funky/tech house in any one of Auckland's top
club destinations.
