Fat Freddy's Drop make a rawkus return to the stage for THE FLASHBACK, Te Wai Pounamu, South Island Tour.
The purveyors of hi-tek soul are dropping on Nelson, Christchurch, Invercargill, Dunedin, Wanaka and Queenstown during February and March.
"It's been a lengthy stint in the studio recording our new album Based On A True Story and the band is keen to tear it up on this tour," says Fitchie, Freddy's producer and beat master.
"The studio is a strange and unpredictable place; it'll be nice to get home to the stage and enjoy some South Island hospitality"
A taster of the hugely anticipated album can be found on the Freddy's recently released 12" vinyl featuring the single Flashback.
"The Flashback single is a fresh slice of future funk, a tune with surprises, fakes and freaky sidesteps. It's a great introduction of what's to come on the album," notes Fitchie.
