Also a renowned clash sound, Firehouse kill soundboys dead with their heavyweight selection of dubplates and serious lyrical styling - most recently taking on the great Ricky Trooper (ex-Kilamanjaro Sound, JA). They have spread Reggae music on the airwaves for the past ten years, with their weekly show - Fire On The Wire - and have blazed up the dance with some of the worlds best artists including Burning Spear, The Gladiators, Earl 16, Lee Perry, Mad Professor, Luciano & Mikey General. The crew established in 2003 through their 95bFM radio show - Thunder & Joy - and have since been making waves both in New Zealand and outernationally, with their National Link-Up Tour, at Soundsplash, and playing alongside big sounds worldwide including Kyabamba Sound (Swiss), Worries Outernational (Ireland) and earlier this year taking on Firehouse in a two-set clash series. The Welly massive last caught the Mafia in May - these top shottas return once more for another session of big, bad, bruk-out Reggae, Dancehall, Bashment & Grime selections!
And representing Wellington in the finest style - YARDWISE - ART OFFICIAL, SPIN ZERO, MISTEEK, ANTOINE & MC KTHRNAK.
