The Gallery presents Imperial Nights with UK talent Sharlene Hector from (Basement Jaxx) and Kevin Mark Trail (The Streets, N.E.R.D) supported by the SWAG KINGS.
To turn it up we've lined up some of Auckland and Australia's finest talent in House Music: BEVAN KEYS, LEON D, SPOOKY, DA-LUX and more to be announced.
Sharlene Hector is a singer/songwriter, born and raised in a small town in England called Slough, currently living in South London. During her career, she has most recently worked with Emeli Sandé, Basement Jaxx, Cee-Lo Green and Aloe Blacc to name a few. She's the voice behind the massive Reel People track 'The Rain', as well as 'Leaving This Planet' by Mark De Clive Lowe and 'The Bottle' by Overstreet.
She was the face of Coca-Cola's 'I Wish' ad campaign back in 2004, where she played the lead role of a girl walking down the street handing out bottles of Coca-Cola.
She is also part of The Soul Family Sunday band where she performs alongside Natalie Williams once a month at the World famous Jazz club, Ronnie Scott's.
Kevin Mark Trail is a British R&B, soul, reggae and hip hop singer-songwriter. He has released one album, Just Living, which spawned three singles, "Perspective", "D Thames" and "Last Night". He rose to fame, however, by appearing on two tracks on The Streets debut album Original Pirate Material, including the hit single, "Let's Push Things Forward", which made the Top 40 in the UK Singles Chart.
Producer & DJ Leon D is a house head from back in the 90’s. Originally from Wellington, Leon D has been influential in the underground house scene as a DJ and part of the Cuffy & Leon D production team.
Leon D will be digging into the crates to pick his best low-slung original Disco records and all things funky. No YMCA here folks- this is real underground Disco.
Bevan can be found pumping Auckland dance floors just about any day of the week and has held residencies at almost all of Aucklands most popular clubs.
Bevan began DJing back in 1985 and has since shared billings with Danny Tenaglia, Roger Sanchez, Derrick Carter, Phil Asher and at New Zealand's first Ministry of Sound event in 1997, and again in 1999.
The Gallery is all about showcasing artists and talent so we have various surprises for our guests throughout the night.
