Announcing the release of her long awaited Debut Album

Jess Chambers, best known for her work with Rhian Sheehan, Module, the Upbeats, The Dirty Republic, and The Bad Apple Orchestra. Her single, ‘Hiding Place’ reached #1 on the Bfm radio charts. With an appearance on the “Love Parade compilation 2006" Jess gained acclaim both in New Zealand and internationally as a unique singer/songwriter with a sublime voice.

In April 2007, Jess recorded her debut solo album “Island”. with producer and virtuoso guitarist Justin Firefly Clarke The recordings are lyrical, folksy, and poignant. Recorded in 8 days at the Surgery under the mastery ears and hands of Dr. Lee Prebble. The predominantly acoustic album features delicate strings, lush guitar and layered backing vocals sung by some of Wellington’s finest including Samuel Flynn Scott (Phoenix Foundation), Rio Hemopo (Trinity Roots), Tessa Rain (Fly My Pretties), Andy Hummel and Rob Hinkley (Good Laika).

In March this year Jess Chambers and the Firefly Orchestra gave two stunning performances at New Zealand's WOMAD festival where they where awarded with a standing ovation.

We are delighted to announce the release of Jess Chambers and the Firefly Orchestra. The first single and second track on the album will be accompanied by an animation and is entitled "Pieces of Love".
