Kotahitanga - meaning unity - is the theme of the night.
On Sunday 25th July Indigo Bar and Venue will be the place to be as some of Wellingtons finest talents come together for "Kotahitanga , The Beat goes on" a once in a lifetime evening of soul, beats, hip-hop, breaks and drum & bass to help raise money for a member of the musical community struck by recent illness.
Kotahitanga - meaning unity - is the theme of the night as we bring together members of the community to celebrate the diversity of our cultures in a musical and visual extravaganza.
The line up will include some live hip-hop from GND and The Wanderers, a set from Welly's favourite brother and sister duo Imon Star and Deva Mahal as well as The Facecutters crew back to back with Alita1, Misteek and the Lyrical Diva, DJ Damon (Nomad) and Rangi. Because it's a school night the events will be kicking off in the early evening and wrapping up around midnight so be sure to get in early and show your support.
On the visual tip we will be showing images collected from the recent Matariki gig as well as footage and slides from the Wellington Hikoi.
So come along and ease out of your weekend mode the best way - with some fine music and fine company - as our community shows our Kotahitanga and support for a bro in need.
