Expect a night of soulful Detroit house mixed to perfection by one of Detroits legends.

Mike Grant earliest musical ventures began on the Detroit house party scene in the early 80s, where Grant gained a reputation as one of the cities most outstanding DJs, eventually landing him a residency in 1983 at Detroit's hottest club, Studio 54.

During his days at Studio 54, Grant met Eddie Fowlkes who introduced him to Derrick May and Juan Atkins. During the summer of 85' Grant became a member of Detroit's legendary Hot Mix radio show; "Street Beat." The show premiered Detroit House and Techno, featuring Detroit's finest DJs including Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills, and Kevin Saunderson.

During this time Mike's reputation spread throughout America and Europe, where he has toured alongside his fellow Detroit legends playing at such clubs and parties as The Love Parade, Ministry of Sound, The Arches (Glasgow) and recently the Detroit Electronic Music Festival.

Mike Grant 's own musical expression found a home on his own imprint Moods & Grooves, finding its way into the record boxes of some of the worlds finest. Moods & Grooves agenda includes presenting distinctive music for listening and dancing pleasure. Moods for the soul: sophistication, deepness and emotional expression. Grooves for the body: rhythms that massage the body into movement with force and subtlety. Moods & Grooves is committed to continuing Detroit's musical legacy while forging new links with producers such as Kenny Dixon Jr., Theo Parrish, Alton Miller, Rick Wade and Cool People.
