Wellington based Nanotek (Mark Christiansen) is the undisputed king of dark drum and bass in NZ. Since leaving Terror-naki he has been carving himself a name throughout New Zealand and the world with his malignant, brooding and impenetrable style of drum and bass.

Initially discovered by German record label Intransigent Recordings for his dark masterpiece “Nightwatch” in 2007, it wasn’t long before he was picked up by the legendary Dylan of Freak Recordings. Ever since he has seen support from the likes of heavyweights Tech Itch, Current Value, SPL, Gein, Counterstrike, Limewax and more, he looks set to be a strong presence in drum n bass in New Zealand and abroad!

His influences are varied, ranging from great producers such as Technical Itch, Limewax, Dom + Roland and Current Value to bands like Meshuggah, Ministry and Mr. Bungle, to some of the great sci-fi and horror films like Alien, Event Horizon, Friday 13th, Halloween and many more.

Nanotek has already released songs on some of the industry's top dark labels like Obscene, Freak and Intransigent Recordings. His release schedule is looking huge with tunes “Never Say Die” and “Angels of Truth” forthcoming on Freak Recordings, “Better Place” for Tech Itch Recordings as well as remixes of Current Value to be released on Guerilla and Gein’s epic tune “Hell” for Habit. Also look out for some collaboration work with top international producers Gein, Counterstrike and SPL.
