Sooo purb!!! On Waiheke!! 26th January 2008.

Saturday 26th January sees New Zealands premier Sax player,Nathan Haines, perform at The Matiatia, Waiheke Island. Nathans latest album, RIGHT NOW, is being hailed as his finest work yet, no mean task for one who has performed and collaborated with the likes of Jamiroqui and Phil Asher.

UK performer Vanessa Freeman will join singer Tama Waipara upfront on vocals, with acclaimed producer Mike Patto (Reel People) on keyboards, locals Dixon Nacey (guitar), Jnr Turua (bass) and Mickey Ututaonga (drums) with Puerto Rican born percussionist Miguel Fuentes providing authentic latin sounds and experience from 20 years of touring the US and Europe with the likes of Grover Washington and Patti Labelle.

The band recently performed at London's Jazz Cafe to a capacity crowd, and last years NZ tour with the same line-up cemented Nathan and the bands reputation as one of the funkiest danceable acts around.
