Klute, a true artist refusing to be pigeonholed in a drum and bass world more and more ruled by specific sub-genres then an appreciation for the form as a whole. His talent for composing the most relentlessly exploratory of tracks within the language of dancefloor drum and bass has played a role in pushing jungle beyond its formula based nature. Smashing down boundaries and bringing in influences from all aspects of the musical world and always possessing a unique vision like no other.

Kicking off his musical career in semi famous British punk band The Stupids, Klute soon discovered the new and rapidly progressing sounds of hardcore techno. Releasing a few straight ahead dancefloor cuts in the early '90s before settling into experimental breakbeat by 1993. Lending his creativity to the likes of Metalheadz, 31 Records and his early stable Certificate 18, responsible for releasing his first two albums, "Casual Bodies" and "Fear of People".

In 2001 his own Commercial Suicide imprint was borne out of a necessity on Klute's part to control his own releases as well as provide a support network for the ever-increasing new generation of like-minded producers. Releasing nothing but material of the highest order, Commercial Suicide releases are a vital part of any true drum and bass connoisseurs crate. His 2 Commercial Suicide album releases "Lie, Cheat and Steal" and most recently "No Ones Listening Anymore" are both true drum and bass classics. Showcasing the mans width and diversity by encompassing everything from leftfield to techno to pure dancefloor destroying drum and bass.

We now welcome back Klute for his 3rd appearance in New Zealand for what will undoubtedly be one of the DJ sets of 2005. Prepare yourself to once again experience the vision of one of dnb's true innovators.
