A new underground monthly House party

Progress is a brand new monthly underground house party brought to Wellington by a UK DJ and local Wellington DJ talent. Based on the UK's hugely succesful "Afterparty" held in Adam P's home city, he has teamed up with local DJ/Producer Empyre to bring his own version to Wellington in hope of bringing the dance party scene back to life.

Adam P has had several DJ residencies across the UK and in some of Sydney's hottest clubs. Combining dancable tribal and tech house with down and dirty electro he knows how to keep the crowd on their toes and eager for the next drop. "I feel Wellington has yet to catch up with Auckland and the rest of the world in the dance music scene. House music will always be the favorite to dance to, Europe and Australia never seem to forget this. Wellington is heavily dominated by Drum n Bass and Dubstep which is awesome as it's something the rest of the world lacks, however, it is difficult music to dance to and not always what the girls want to hear. It is only right that Wellington has some form of House scene. Even if it is only one big night per month" says Adam. Matt (AKA DJ Empyre) local resident DJ and producer says "there is already plenty of DJ's in Wellington playing good underground House and Tech-House including myself. We just need to create a scene for it and let Wellington know what real dance music is all about"

Progress is based on "Afterparty" based in the UK. It started out as an intimate underground electro party where there were no rules. 12 months after the success of the first night it boasted names such as Calvin Harris, Pendulum, Micky Slim and Dave Spoon. So lets make Progress just as big and make one Saturday night per month the biggest place to be!

Expect visuals behind the dj booth, plenty of winding build ups, bongo's and African drums, big grooving basslines and sexy vocals before 2am. Anything goes after that….
