Rhombus Tour of Duty
The Rhombus tour of duty is on, criss-crossing the Aotearoa nation and Australia in celebration of the release of their new self-titled album.
Armed with the Rhombus trademark, an atom smashing fusion of South Pacific dub nā bass, hip-hop, soul, funk, and roots-reggae, Rhombus is bringing the sunshine at 20 concerts over the next seven weeks.
Led by Rhombus dub scientists, Thomas Voyce on keys and Simon Rycroft at the engine room and dub mix, the tour features the likes of stalwart Rhombus vocalists MC Antsman, MC Mana, Raashi Malik and Lisa Tomlins, plus introducing guitarist Mr Peter Hill. Tour support DJs are Koa & Choice1.
The Rhombus tour kicks off at Labour Weekend and it will be a high energy showcase of the new tunes from the third full-length Rhombus album, released to critical acclaim earlier this month.
Rhombus have always had the edge when mixing dub and reggae with hip-hop, dance and funk....We deserve a real summer. This is the soundtrack for it. 4 stars. Tom Cardy, Dominion
Whether upbeat or downbeat, dub or dancehall, Rhombus are the true alchemists of style ā you need this one! Groove Guide, Tim Gruar
