Roots Foundation Boom Boom Boom at Phoenix
The booming Roots Foundation Sound System present an explosive Dubble Happy show on Guy Fawkes Night 2004.
Timed to celebrate the Roots Foundation 12th birthday with a bang, the dancehall concert at Phoenix in Wellington, promises to be a corking cracker of a night.
The original revolutionary posse of DJ's MU, Lemon, Koa and Goosebump will be steppin' up with a sparkling dose of evil destroying roots drenched sounds, accompanied by the toasting skills of Imon Star.
The Roots Foundation recently vanquished all pretenders to the world
heavy-weight sound system title with an awe inspiring year 3000 mash up for Dub Zero, their first official gig in two years.
The highlight was MU nailing the MPC non-stop for four solid hours, deftly dropping delays, reverbs and tasty bites of Fat Freddy's Drop riffs over the massive selections being spun on the wheels of steel by his reggae bros.
The DJs were so happy with the show that a one hour edit of the Dub Zero session will be given away FREE as an exclusive promo-only CD with the first 200 tickets sold to the Dubble Happy show.
Goosebump says " This one will be strong, in the extreme. It's our 12th birthday party, so we're very happy already. And then, of course, its Guy Fawkes night, well as everybody knows, he was the original revolutionary rocker! Ka-boom !!"
