Get ready to party because Salvation is turning five and you're all invited!

After rave reviews from New Year's Eve, Salvation returns to Galatos on Saturday August 23 for another incredible night of gorgeous people, pumping tunes and mind-blowing lasers. This event also celebrates Salvation's 5th birthday, so prepare yourself for more hot dancers, more incredible lasers, and more roof-raising, hands-in-the-air Salvation anthems than ever before!

For those who are interested in some history, Salvation was born 5 years ago in Bed nightclub on K'Rd. It's goal was to bring some diversity to Auckland's night life - to provide a Sydney-quality dance party right here in Auckland - albeit on a slightly smaller scale :)

DJs Donald Bennett and Marty played at this 1st event and at the time it was only ever intended to be a one-off party. However, Salvation 1 turned out to be hugely popular, receiving comments like:

As a result, a second Salvation was organised, then a third - and now 5 years down the track Salvation is still one of the shining stars in Auckland's social calender.

This year, Salvation's pioneering DJs Donald and Marty are joined by an awesome line-up of hot, local talent including DJs Brazil, Kurt Erickson, Mauri, Mike V and Raj. Multiple dance zones will be combined with stunning Salvation-style production to provide a truly spectacular event.

"Salvation has always had fantastic visual production", says organiser Mike Modrich. "Our goal is to make people's jaws drop when the lasers fire up!"

And it certainly sounds like jaws will be dropping on August 23 when Salvation debuts a stunning new 3.5W full-colour laser.

"We only turn 5 once", Mike smiles. "We want this party to be something extra-special!"

A special party also deserves a special theme, so organisers have chosen "Heaven & Hell" for this event! Starting ideas include angels, devils, black, white, flames, togas - there are plenty of possibilities, so be as literal or as off-beat as you want! We can't wait to see what you come up with :)
However, please note that for health and safety reasons, costumes including live fire or sharp objects (such as pitchforks) should not be seriously considered.
