Wellington's most infamous DJ jam session, Sift Heavy, is turning one. In order to celebrate this momentous occasion, the Sift Heavy crew are hitting the road to spread the musical vibes to the Deep South with shows in the winter paradises of Queenstown and Wanaka.

Sift Heavy is the brainchild of Wellington DJs Duncan and Zen (A.K.A. the Grumpy Old Men With Beards), and was started as an alternative to the standard club nights that offer up the same hits week-in and week out.

There's no such thing as a typical Sift Heavy , it's a night that covers all the musical bases, with heavy doses of Hip Hop, Funk, and Reggae mixed with smatterings of Latin, Broken Beat and Left-Footed House.

Now, after rocking the dance floor at Wellington institution Good Luck for the last year alongside the likes of special guests Recloose, Manuel Bundy and Cian of The Turnaround, and DJ Mu of Fat Freddy's Drop, the Grumpy Old Men With Beards are taking their Sift Heavy show on the road:
