Stereonasties V goes ahead on Friday 30th March @ Studio 9, featuring the entire crew - Agent 99, B-Low, Coda, Shadowgirl and Tjaden, with Sam and Grillfas mashing it up in the back bar. As always, Genevive will be providing a sexy altered environment to complement your dancing experience. This time out we've decided that we've behaved long enough - the order for the evening is any style so long as it lives up to our name: NASTY. All DJ's are under strict instructions to root through their crates and do their worst. Expect to encounter filthy Chicago booty trax, earsplitting old-skool acid lines, relentless european linear techno, and our standard squeaking silliness.

Shouts and "maximum rrrr'spect" to the graphics crew - the unseen Nasties! Our bugs were created by freelance illustrator Aaron Williams, and the banner and logos are the result of hours of work by graphic designer Simon Waterfield of Base2. The current poster recycles one of Aaron's trademark bugs, features Simon's slick graphics, and was made possible through a late-night workplace break-in mission by Gen. We couldn't do this without you guys!

Thanks also to everyone who made it to Stereonasties IV, our most successful excursion to date. Our special guest Cyrus, passing through on his way back to London warmed the dancefloor with a smooth low key set, accompanied by luscious lights by Wendy. We got some mixed feedback about our choice to go for a more relaxed "Detroit" tip this time, but rest assured that this next one's gonna be bangin'! Thanks also to Victoria University's Orientation crew, and all the students came along and huddled in the corners looking worried ;) Sam and Lemon kept the back bar rammed with Martini-spilling munters until unseemly hours of the morning with marathon sets of driving house and laidback foolishness.

While in full gratitude mode, respect also to the Bass Frontiers crew, who celebrated their second birthday with maximum style last week with Ed Rush, Optical and Ryme Tyme pushing a massive and frenzied crowd into bogan overdrive.

A happy birthday birthday also to Stereonasties boss Shadowgirl, who appears next week at STRUCTURE, - Jeff Mills' first appearance in Wellington. Additional support is provided Coda and Cuffy, with environmental direction by Genevive. Appearance on the dancefloor is mandatory!

Finally, we'd like to give a shout from Agent 99 and Shadowgirl to our man of the moment Tobias Schmidt - check out his new album "Destroy" on Tresor at your preferred local vinyl purveyor.

See you there at Stereonasties 5, doors open at midnight, $10, Pulsate Activecard discount available.
