Opening a new chapter in Wellington drum and bass, the Substance crew take it to the dancefloor every Friday night to lay down a selection of the freshest and most blazin' drum and bass available. DDog, Sal and a rotating roster of Wellingtons finest established and emerging DJ and MC talent take you on a ride with all the styles from grimey breaks to dirty bass and lush liquid. The Substance crew is here to kick off your weekend in proper fashion.

For the opening week of Substance we are proud to welcome 2005 Rumble in the Jungle champ, DJ Flex and Welly's original Dark Soldier, Ruffstep. Flex has been away in Japan for the past couple of years but recently returned to claim the Rumble in the Jungle crown, a competition he started 4 years ago as part of Redline Promotions. Expect Flex to mash up the full junglist party flavas. Ruffstep brings a long history to the dancefloor with an impeccable selection of classic drum and bass and jungle. Expect it deep, tuff, dark and rolling as Welly's original junglist takes us back.
