Grind is proud to present 2 of the true pioneers and innovators working within the sound we call Drum and Bass. Representing Virus Recordings we bring you Ed Rush and Optical. Ed Rush was one of the original UK drum and Bass DJ's to make the long journey down under. His gig at Hole in the Wall (now Valve) in 1996 was one of the first D 'n' B gigs ever in Wellington and is recognised as a defining moment in Capital dance culture. Since then he has played Studionine twice with his recording partner Optical. Both times they were greeted with sellout crowds. We now welcome the duo back touring on the back of their critically acclaimed 'THE CREEPS' LP. Released on vinyl late last year and due on CD in the next few weeks. 'THE CREEPS' is the follow up to one of the biggest selling drum and bass albums of all time 'WORMHOLE'. Joining the duo will be the MC Ryme Tyme, on what will be his first excursion to New Zealand.

This night will also mark the second anniversary of Bass Frontiers, now 2 years old BF has firmly established itself not only as Wellington's most successful drum and bass night but also as the premiere regular club night in the capital. We reach out to all the Wellington massive to come and help us mark this very special occasion in style. Big ups and 'nuff respect for all the support over the past 2 years.
