Besides their obvious capital associations, these three pieces have been playing together both individually and collectively for years; the collaborative nature of this relationship generates international caliber musical hybrids relevant to any dance-floor. From roots soul and the emotive musical uprising of TrinityRoots through to big fat beats, horn stabs and crooning of Fat Freddy's and the deep house, disco-dub of Ebb, Three Piece Suit is guaranteed skanking for all.

Three Piece Suit is your opportunity to hear their new, never been played to an audience before songs off TrinityRoots' forthcoming album TRUE. TrinityRoots play from the heart, their roots essence combined with soulful lyrics makes for a live sound oozing soul on a uniquely Aotearoa tip. TrinityRoots is Warryn Maxwell on vocals, Riki Gooch on drums and Rio Hemopo on Bass. Trinity Roots are the champions of New Zealand's roots music. They have garnered a solid live reputation through numerous gigs across the nation plus celebrated support slots for Ben Harper, Lee Scratch Perry, Rockers Hi-Fi and The Mad Professor. Notable accomplices on the NZ scene include Salmonella Dub and King Kapisi. Hearing their live performance is a liberating experience.

Ebb are a three piece consisting of sexy and soulful vocals from diva Lisa Tomlins, dubbed out and disco beats from Iain Gordon on the MPC and live on stage mixing from effects wizard Reuben Sutherland. Their combo provides warm dance rhythms, soothing melodies and stonking beats to fuel the floor. Ebb adds fuel to the dance-floor with their mind-altering visuals heightening the Ebb experience. Ebb are currently working on their EP for release by Chicago based house Label Tactile.

Fat Freddy's Drop is fronted by Wellington's premier DJ legend, MU. MU and his MPC sampler drop fat beats while the rest of the band jam along. Featuring Dallas Tamaira on vocals, Tehimana on guitar, Warryn Maxwell on Sax, Toby Laing on Trumpet and Iain Gordon on keys. Fat Freddy's originals are skanking homages to all the sounds in the musical spectrum brought together by this outstanding team. Fat Freddy's have recently played with The Mad Professor and the Afro Celt Sound System and have an EP recorded Live at The Matterhorn gardens which is on sale now.
