In April last year, Auckland Drum n Bass fans were taken by surprise. Q Project & Spinback aka Total Science were in town and riding high on the success of their remixes of the seminal tunes 'Champion Sound' and '(Dubplate) What's My Code?'.

Their visit had been a long time coming, being 14 year veterans of the rave / jungle / dnb scene, but the surprise for people was the potency and depth of their two pronged DJ attack. Both DJ's worked the dancefloor perfectly with precision blends of their trademark rave stabbed sound alongside some of the most soulful, bass heavy music available to man. Fu was full of very happy faces, and a lot of headz left that night converted into diehard Total Science fans.

In the year that has passed, our prediction that these men would consolidate and maintain their pole position as two of Drum n Bass most respected and in demand DJ / producers has come true and more. With their labels CIA and Advanced forging the way at the very top echelon of Drum n Bass sales and more 12" releases on most other groundbreaking DnB labels than any other artists, Total Science are without a doubt the hardest working men in Drum n Bass.

The Total Science DJ schedule has been so busy of late that they are frequently travelling apart this year, but we have ensured that both members of Total Science will be making it to New Zealand for their legion of dedicated fans.
