Forward thinking drum and bass production extraordinaire and one of the stars of Sandwiches Summerset 2009. Opening his new label Detail Recordings in 2010, Lynx is a man on a mission to deliver only the freshest and most innovative sounds in underound electronic music. Standout tracks including 'Disco Dodo' and 'Global Enemies' may have helped make his name across the worldwide drum & bass scene but the sheer diversity and quality of Lynx's output across labels like Soul:r, Creative Source, Digital Soundboy and Bingo have marked him as a producer par-excellence. Recent remixes for Metalheadz, Hospital and Innerground have shown he remains ahead of the rest, with cutting-edge studio skills and the drive to explore new musical avenues. A diverse and talented DJ, his live sets are largely built on exclusive and upfront material with an eclectic feel appealing to clubbers across the spectrum. Collaborating with Sense MC for his latest release on Detail ('For the Rebels' released October 2010), Lynx has demonstrated once again his ability to mix vocals with musicality and straight dancefloor-appeal, keeping the standard high and staying true to his own style.

TREi & Friends is a night that will deliver exactly what it says on the tin. Whilst playing at all the right parties across the country and abroad, the bi-monthly night at Sandwiches will be TREi’s opportunity to explore the further reaches of his record collection and test out the limits of the dance floor as he is afforded the luxury of a long set, each time setting off on a unique and unpredictable journey.

For each party TREi will also invite some friends to join him on the decks or on the mic, and considering that TREi mixes with the upper echelon of drum and bass in New Zealand, and on the global scene, you are in for more than a few treats and surprises as the series unfolds. Some will be announced, some won’t, some will be invited, and others will just crash the party through the side door.

A night based on music, not hype. A night where creativity is king and the party goes all night long!
