Uprising '07 is a multi zone, multi genre music festival running from midday 31 December to midday 2 January 2007 featuring Live NZ music, World grooves, Dub, Reggae, Breaks, Hardtrance, Psytrance, Drum&Bass, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Electro, House, Techno, NRG, Downbeat ambient soundscapes and more...

A diversity of live music is the focus for the Main Zone during the day and evening, where Uprising 07 will showcase a wealth of musical talent from Aotearoa and overseas. The night- time would not be complete without including an array of exceptionally talented DJs and VJs offering a unique, multi genre, sonic and visual journey, accompanied by choreographed fire performances, intelligent lighting, ritual Taiko drumming and more. The main zone will be an eclectic enchantment for mind, body and soul.

If New Years Eve is all about going totally hard out to burn off the stress of work and to charge up with energy for the coming year then Uprising's Hard Zone (run by Wellington's Fevah organisers) or else the Psytrance zone could be the place for you. The Hard Zone will bring together, in one place for the first time, the cream of New Zealand's high NRG dance party promoters along with several well renowned international acts.

If, however, NYE is about kicking back and relaxing then check out Uprising's Chill Out Zone, taking chill out to a new level, with sublime downbeat and ultra chilled soundscapes through the day and night, workshops (such as yoga, qi gong, sacred geometry, crop circles, juggling, poi, circus skills), massage, holistic healing, documentaries & movies, join the tribal drumming circle around the fire, relax with a warm chai, be awed by the eco friendly sustainable art and design, and exchange stories in a place of conscious community.

Spacious Camping areas are provided in the festival site, along with toilets, water and recycling facilities. There are also stalls for nutritious food, coffee, refreshments and other essential festival items.

Uprising '07 is a non -alcohol and family friendly festival, a safe environment to camp with your mates and relax, where under-12s have free entry. Leave dogs and glass at home.
