Organization of influence

owning space ' reinstating collective value: finding focal points of distributed energy: spatial connection of interacting systems

17 Jun 2005

Continuing on from the gradual dissipation of coherency in the central dance floor. The desire for organization and influence in social spaces leads us to present the centralized capture and distribution of audio information.

We allow multiple zones to be connected via a central control position, where all signals throughput can be observed and managed. This position also allows for the insertion of universal layers of input and processed feedback.

Zones remain autonomous, while central rhythms and themes are exchanged via the monitoring of alternate zones made available in each area. Individuals engaged in the systems are not excluded or abstracted, but are involved and engaged through their participation, providing personal input from responses to output.

This action diversifies and multiplies the intrinsic conditions of the audio system. Which is the processing, filtering and feedback of energy as sound waves. The careful and visible management of this process manifests new possibilities in the perceptual reality of audio atmospheres.

Sound information can be translated simultaneously across all collective areas, yet be established and discovered on an individual basis. The environment becomes a self-reference of inclusion and involvement in the greater event.

The listener is enabled an understanding of shared space, the performer is enabled access to all systems, and the entire acoustic space becomes a literal and real time actualization of the collective nature of the event.

Made possible and established under the aspiration and goals of .

is in recognition of this privilege.
