Micha Klein started doing VJ-performances at the first Acid-House parties back in 1988 pioneering live VJing as we now know it. The equipment and software was still very primitive, but the roughness of the color-cycles and low-resolution animations from the Amiga fitted perfectly with the upcoming house-music. As music and soft/hardware became more sophisticated, so became his shows.
Micha did a huge amount of gigs, at the world's most reknown clubs, collaborating with the best DJ's and musicians, all over the world since. The biggest screen he beamed sofar was 60 meters wide and 9 meter high, for a 10 hour set in 1998. Also memorable was his 8 hours set on a massive LED screen, at the first Tiesto in Concert, in 2003. In 2004 Micha's collaboration with Tiesto resulted in another 3 big stadium events in The Netherlands and Belgium, again all 8 hour sets, and the New Years Party at the Palladium in Los Angeles.
For 2005 Micha has an extensive touring schedule bringing him to Djakarta, Italy, and even Disneyland for another project with Tiesto.
He has also provided visuals for the following dj's:
John Digweed, Juan Atkins, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Mike Dunn, Derrick May, Pete Tong, Sneak, Junior Sanchez, Pete Heller, Gene Farris, Steve Rachmad, Green Velvet, Dimitri, Jef K., Carlos Diaz, King Britt, Jef K., Sven Vath, Ken Ishii, Remy, 100% Isis, Marcello, Michel de Hey, Eddy de Clerq, and many more...
He has even provided background projections for Eminem's USA/European tour 2000-2001 featuring our early house mascot 'Pillman'.
Awards won for best VJ performances:
- Gouden Kabouter (3 years)
- LSDA award (2 years)
- AVIT Lifetime achievement Award (2003)
Some of Micha's best work can been seen on the Tiesto 2003 & 2004 In concert DVDs.
