Last time I wrote about the treatment of performers I got a dirty email.

In my distracted way, I tried to imply that the pressures of an audience on a performer can be selfish and destructive. The fact that some people think this idea is offensive implies (to me) that the consumer state of mind is corrupt.

What happens if we turn this condition over.

What happens if we suggest that the performers treatment of their audience, of their supporters and collaborators can also be corrupt.

Are you a person who likes to keep it at surface level, never wishing to look beyond the veneer of marketing bylines, and press photo beauty.

Can we consume the "Truth as it Happens?" .. . I don't believe we can. I don't believe that we are ready to accept the true nature of the human heart or the actions of the ones we love.

Our collective desire for wealth, fortune and the unwavering belief in our idols is greater than our need to accept the truth.

Together we realize that our investment in this fallacy is our only hope. That our future can only lie in the hands of petrol dreams and desperate lies, that this business of Love and Truth is making too much money for ethics

We are not strong enough to suffer the truth.
