interesting time sunday !
. a warm breeze and some sunday house ..

had an interesting time Sunday !
got all set up in the band rotunda . on a spanking
afternoon . warm breeze through trees . four decks
spinning little PA . humming some sunday house ..
about 60 people lounged around in the sun . reading
relaxed and enjoying the space and the sounds .even
a game of bowls started ..
... anyway the park ranger turned up .. dum dom dum
apparently we hadn't gone through the right channels
and the area was designated as passive entertainment
and the power we were using .. well that was costing
and how come it was switched on . it wasn't supposed
to be on . and who said we could plug in .
... so I tried to point out
we didn't ask because I didn't know to . public area
public performance . passive entertainment being all
the people lounging in the sun being passive as ..
and there was a plug with a switch that said on/off!
I plugged it in and turned it on ' and it worked . .
anyway the ranger was quite upset that we should take
our own initiative and be so spontaneous and use so all
that equipment to do so . . so off with the power and
don't have this sort of fun here . and ask next time!
So . with all the gear and a small crowd but no power ??
in the end we contacted the Art Center .and they were
prepared on a chance to give some 'djs' power ... but
only for an hour .. then they has to turn us off !
the end result . we set up on a mat four decks and PA
on a square of lawn with an audience of around 30 now
most of who were just sunday walkers in the Art Center
.. an hour turned in to four ..
and everyone had a fab as time !
while I drunk a bottle of bubbles with . nice
just thought I would share an interesting adventure ..
