House Music weekend Report From Surreal and Debajo!!!

Friday night saw thee welcome return or the Progressive Master OB1 from Auckland. Simon Herbert warmed up the crowd with a lovely display of bouncy house tunes playing a favorite of everybodys Inland Knights out of bounds.

Rolling around till 12 midnite the crowd has grown and the man him self slipped onto the decks. He took us on a wicked journey through the progessive genre playing a very fresh selection and some really neat vocal tracks as well.

Around 2am he was very cheeky enough to throw in a few more trancy tracks for the more up for it dancers in the crowd to get going yahoo!!.

Saturday night so something very rare in Queenstown two excellent dj's at two wicked venues. I was back and forth all Night with Soane and the Club house tour at Surreal and Dj Watcha from Ministy of Sound at Debajo.

Both Dj's played storming sets. Soane with his usual selection of Vocal tracks a crowd favourite of hardsoul - la pasion de goza and Watcha managing to throw in Some really cool old tracks from Grace Jones to Micheal Jackson.

But What really set the Night off was when he played Blue Monday from New Order this track is even older than me!!! the crowd went nuts.

This would have to be one thee best House Music weekends i have been to in a long time and beats anything i have been to in Auckland. Big to all three dj's for making there way down to Queenstown for the weekend and puting on a wicked show of house music.. lets Hope Dj Watcha comes down our ways again when he tours he next year.

long live the 12inch !!!!!
