Every New Year's for the past five years, The Gathering has brought together New Zealand's dance community - a massive culture within our country and the globe where expressing yourself and feeling the power of the music is a dominating and 'real' way of life.

The Documentary has captured aspects ranging from the behind the scenes inner-workings production of the event to the fairy tale atmosphere in trance at new years countdown.

Our primary aim for the doco was to capture The Gathering's spirit.

Featuring interviews with Englands superstar DJ John Digweed, USA's Austin Leeds, our very own Pitch Black and of course the gatherers. The Documentary is one final unified celebration of much more than a party: The Gathering.

Directed by simon murtagh, runtime 45mins.
