Music Law

This free service is open to Musicians and/or those in the Music Industry nationwide who require legal advice.

12 Nov 2002

The New Zealand Industry Commission, in association with Dominion Law is proud to announce a new service for New Zealanders called Music Law.

This service is open to Musicians and/or those in the Music Industry nationwide who require legal advice. Best of all - this service is absolutely free!

The NZMIC is lucky enough to have Chris Hocquard as the man for the job. Chris is a practicing lawyer and Principal of boutique law firm Dominion Law, specialists in Music and Entertainment Law. Chris currently represents many leading artists and record companies in New Zealand.

For a while now, Aucklanders have known him as "Chris the Lawyer", of bFM's Thursday morning "Lawline" fame. He is also the chairman for bFM, and the director of amplifier.co.nz, an online company that sells and promotes NZ music.

Music Law will run every second Thursday morning, commencing on the 14th of November 2002. Each session will run for 20 minutes only and bookings are absolutely essential. If you are based in the Auckland region, you can come into the NZMIC office in Parnell for a face-to-face appointment, or you can call in toll free from any other part of the country for a phone consultation.

To make a booking, or to get information about this service, call the New Zealand Music Industry Commission on 0800 4 NZMIC (0800 4 69642).
