This weekend at the Music Expo sees Pioneer introducing their new DVJ-X1. Think CDJ MkII but its plays dvd's. You can loop and scratch and hot cue just like the CDJ but it plays the video too. Its friggin unreal to see real time manipulation of visuals via a DJ style player.

It has a couple of applications. You could use it to play musical dvd's and mix your tunes with their music vid. Or in our case it more of an impact tool to drop in samples but with video as well.

Myself and DJ Johnny Winter from will be showcasing the units at 3pm & 5pm each day of the expo.
