The Forecast owes it's allegiance to Firm 107FM in Wellington. It was through this medium that The Foreacst DJ's combined forces. The Forecast has subsequently been broadcasting 2 weekly radio shows on Firm 107FM for over 3 years.
Radio provides them with the opportunity to display their full range of musical styles, including Dub, Reggae, Trip-Hop, Downbeat, Hip-Hop, House, 2-Step, Nu-School Breaks, Techno, Trance, Jungle, Drum and Bass among others.
The Forecast is here to re-integrate the followers of Electronica : to show club-goers that segregation is not the way to enjoy music. For too long has there been DJ's saying "I play Drum and Bass", or "I am a House DJ" - The Forecast DJ's are lovers and providers of music, not just one side of the coin.
The DJ's in The Forecast are Rob C, fiDJit, HuHa, Amber and Fronts. In addition to this they have a number of DJ's perform with them as special guests at their live events.
The Forecast has been promoting successful live events for over 1 year now, and the feedback has been fantastic. Where else do you hear of a crew putting on parties that tap the well of full multi-genre musical styles?
