The Society For the Promotion of A Fantastic Way of Life is a society that you are a member of, by default, if you understand and practice surrealism, anarchy, activism for positive change or any other pursuit that has as its ultimate aim the transformation of this planet into the fantastic and mysterious place that it actually is.
The Gathering's Ambient Zone (2000/01), Destination's Downbeat Diner (2002/03) and the Vision Festival's chillouts (2002/03) were all SPOFWOL Productions as were the cds "Leading A Horse To Water " released by Monkey Records and "Fear of A Quiet Planet" released by Golden Bay Records.
Please note that the musical style selected on this profile is Techno as this is the only option available to click that even closely approximates the range of left field electronic sounds favoured by SPOFWOL. Think Techno as in Detroit's first wave/Mille Plateaux's minimalism and Plaid's twisted electronica and you have a good start.
