I was amazed to hear an announcer on the radio the other day playing a tune directly off Myspace. I thought it was some sort of evil trick some sort of illegal joke. Across the airwaves I could feel the black torrent of new music just waiting to pour uncontrolled into the FM bandwidth.
Today being into new music seems not so much to do with knowing artists or labels but developing coping mechanisms to deal with the torrents of music you will find by knowing one good artist.
If you dabble in digital music you know that one little link is enough to ruin your bandwidth for the month and leave you on the trail of endless tangents.
Nothing escapes a black hole and I'm starting to feel that music may never escape the digital revolution. The only way forward is everyone owning a self generating tune device. These devices listen to your inner bio-rhythms and talk to your friends devices, generating natural organic music constantly. If you want a vocal just sing!
